Category: Beaches. North Sands Beach. Distance: 1. The North Sands beach is an easy level walk from Salcombe town Sunny Cove Beach. Village: East Portlemouth. Sunny Cove is accessed either by boat or by a 10 minute walk through the woods from the parking at Mill Bay. Mill Bay Beach. It is a privately owned and sheltered beach, very popular with families and brilliant for making Sea-n-Shore Salcombe. Sea N Shore watersports in Salcombe, has an unrivalled passion to provide the best water based leisure, training and fun in the South Hams.
Adventure South. Based in Salcombe. Salcombe Kayaks. Hassle free kayaking in the heart of the beautiful South Hams. Gara Rock Beach. Gara Rock beach is very beautiful and fairly gentle 10 minute walk gets you to this large sandy beach. This is a southwest facing beach between East Portlemouth and The Salcombe Ferry Company. Soar Mill Cove Beach. Soar Mill Cove beach is a small but beautiful cove which remains unspoilt due to the difficulties in getting to it!

As well as being a wonderful walk for all ages and abilities due to the flat terrain Bolberry Down is a fabulous place to fly a kite! Harbour Beach. Distance: 3. Village: Hope Cove. Town: Kingsbridge. Hope Cove actually consists of two villages, Inner Hope where the old lifeboat station with the slip way gives boat access to the beach and Outer Hope which has Mouthwell Sands Beach.
Mouthwell Sands Beach is in Outer Hope in Hope Cove and is accessed by a slip way which leads down to a beach perfect for families. Bowcombe Bridge New Bridge. Distance: 4. Kingsbridge was developed around a drawbridge which was built in the 10th century. Dividing the land between the Royal Estates of Alvington to the west and Chillington to the Singing Paddles Kayaking and Canoeing.
South Milton Sands Beach. Village: Thurlestone. The Fossil Forest is a unique glimpse into the past with its fossilised tree stumps, and the Lulworth Ranges make for some fantastic walking with incredible views.
The road leading up to Stair Hole from West Lulworth village. Parking at the main car park in West Lulworth SatNav: BH20 5RQ , walk toward the visitor centre and continue through the village until you get to a road leading to the right up a hill. The viewpoint can be popular with visitors wanting to stop and take photographs of the view of both Stair Hole and down onto Lulworth Cove here, so there may be a short wait to have a good look in the busy summer months.
